VENTULA FC - Match Report - 23rd September 2019

In the run up to Ventula FC’s second fixture of the season Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola took

some time out from his thrashing of Watford to comment upon Ventula's potential:

"Good football players need not be titans sculpted by Michelangelo. In football, ability is much more important

than shape, and in many cases, skill is the art of turning limitations into virtues. Yet, you encounter some teams

that have both physicality and ability, teams like Ventula FC; and they are truly special.”

With Pep’s seal of approval Ventula went into the match with tonnes of confidence - we were sure we would get ourselves back on winning form.

In the first half Joe Noon continued to show himself to be a master of the megs and James Leyden was a rock at the back.

Into the 2nd half Andrew Shaw bossed the midfield and even Christian Kenny showed his quality on the ball.

It was a wonderful performance from the whole team - the real challenge will be keeping this bunch together when the big clubs come calling.

I suppose it’s also worth mentioning the final score:

Ventula FC - 2

Booking Broncos - 5

Turns out that while we offer a ‘truly special’ recruitment service, we aren’t quite there with our
football yet.
