Innovative Digital consultancy now requires an Information Assurance Consultant to embark on an agile transformation programme with a key client in the Aerospace, Defence and Security sector to deliver a comprehensive set of cloud-based services/solutions.

The role revolves around creating a solution that conforms to their clients ‘Secure by design principles’ via the creation of security artefacts that satisfy their security and accreditation team.

This talented consultant will define, manage, and oversee the scope of security assurance testing, maintain the security risk register and define the timeline of accreditation activities against a wider delivery schedule, thus ensuring security enables delivery and minimises the risk of delays in accreditation

Key Responsibilities/The role:
  • Migrate legacy security documentation to current security formats.
  • Manage Security accreditation process for multiple targets of accreditation.
  • Support security architects with security control requirements and obtain required evidence.
  • The project will make heavy use of Windows and VMware technologies, alongside Ansible, Terraform and Scripting tools, supported by niche infrastructure and applications.
  • Defining, scoping and managing security assurance activities
  • Supporting the Security Lead in wider operational security delivery including advocating a strong security culture and training to new joiners
  • Working with wider business stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
About you:
  • Information security experience within a large organisation.
  • A clear understanding of HMG Security Policies and NCSC Good Practice guidance.
  • Experience in providing advice on data protection, information security and business continuity.
  • A CLEAR understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Experienced in Risk Assessment methodologies.
  • Strong enterprise risk management experience.
  • High attention to detail with a collaborative and outcome focused mindset.
This tremendous opportunity provides a daily rate of £500-600 (outside IR35) combined with a remote working structure with occasional collaboration days in Hemel Hempstead.

Contract length is 6 months.
